Peckforton Castle is a luxury Cheshire wedding venue set against a backdrop of rolling Cheshire countryside. The Victorian country house was built in 1850 in the style of a medieval castle for John Tollemache, a wealthy land owner and MP. Over the years the castle has been the location for numerous movies including Robin Hood, Dr Who and more recently The Worst Witch. The Grade I listed castle is now a luxury hotel and an idyllic fairytale wedding venue.
Peckforton Castle is a magical place. The moment you pass through the gatehouse and drive along the meandering road through the ancient forrest you’re enchanted. You can’t help but get excited as you glimpse the castle through the trees.
Crazy Golf Setup Location
The wedding themed mobile crazy golf course looks perfect on the lawn within the walls of the castle. We can set up either the Wedding or the Wedding PLUS packages with ease. As usual, we’ll set up the course before the ceremony starts and ahead of when your wedding guests arrive. That way we’ll be ready with clubs in hand as soon as the drinks reception begins.
What if it Rains?
We all know the British weather can be unpredictable but there’s no reason why the weather should stop play. Light intermittent showers and low winds on your wedding day doesn’t have get in the way. If the forecast predicts rain, we cover the course with 4 popup-gazebos allowing your guests to play whatever the weather.
Winter Weddings at Peckforton Castle
As it gets to the winter season and the nights draw in; when it’s too cold to stand outside and it’s often raining, we have to set up the course indoors. The great news is that we can set up indoors at Peckforton Castle in the magnificent Hexagonal Room. There would be a setup fee as there is no east access to the Hexagonal Room and you would also need to check with the venue to make sure the room is included within your package.
